Year #3

Thank you for helping us succeed.

October 1st, begins year three of the Someone You Should Know Podcast. A great thank you to my regular subscribers, and those of you who have at least checked it out once. I'm very honored to say that the
podcast has reached 2,587 cities in 99 Countries, on all continents except Antarctica (a shout out to all scientists and penguins residing there).

When I began this podcast, it was to act as a buffer as I retired from daily on-air duties in commercial radio. Two years later, I still love doing this. I still love helping get the word out.

In case you didn't know, the Someone You Should Know Podcast is designed purely to help the guest; be it musician, author, radio brother, or interesting person. I do not make any money from this show. I do this purely out of the love of helping others succeed. This show is a reboot of a national radio show, I hosted with the All Star Radio Network from 1999-2004. Our goal back then is the same now, there are a lot of talented musicians, authors, and others who deserve to be heard on the radio, but for some reason, they aren't. Someone You Should Know is just that, "Someone You really should know about." It is published twice weekly, on Mondays and Thursdays.

As we start year three, I am excited to see where we can be heard and who we can help.

Again, I say thank you for your interest in this little podcast that continues to amaze, even me.

-Rik

New Music and Video

September 1, 2024 - Alan Bookman, our guest from Episode 170, has some new music to share. Alan told me “This is a very personal song I wrote about trying to heal my marriage from the pain of my betrayal of my wife. I stopped the behavior and infidelity 7-8 years ago, soon after I also got sober from alcohol, but kept the information about my past betrayals hidden from my wife until this year. She was shattered. She is a brilliant, amazing beautiful woman and never deserved any of this. I am sad and horrified about my past behavior and I am working on amends. So far, by her own grace, and the grace of God, she has stayed with me. Also - this is a rewrite of a prior release, Hidden Dream. Hidden Dream was about an unrequited obsession. The instrumental tracks were retained from that song and the vocal tracks were replaced with these new words for "Precious Dream." “
